The next event at the Heritdage Home will be on Saturday, October 29. Connecting Cultures is planning a día de los muertos (day of the dead) celebration from 4 - 10 pm. The traditional altar with pictures of loved ones, food for them and keepsakes will be present, as well as candy and drinks for visitors.

 

Many countries celebrate this holiday when it is believed the souls of their loved ones are close. Usually celebrated on November 1 and 2, it comes after Halloween, a traditionally spooky holiday
